Conan ‘Horseback Battle Hammer’ LP
THIS ALBUM IS HEAVIER THAN KONG’S DONG AND GODZILLA’S BOLLOCKS COMBINED.
‘Horseback Battle Hammer’ has almost reached legendary status since it’s initial 2010 release on Throne (vinyl) and Aurora Borealis (CD). It rapidly sold out on vinyl, so seeing as Head Of Crom have just released the Conan/Slomatics split album, its been lovingly re-pressed on white vinyl with the original Tony Roberts (check his brilliant work out at www.blackmindseye.org) cover in stunning black and white.
It’s now available to buy here at HOC. Don’t hang around though, only 300 have been pressed. It’s simply one of the best debuts by a sludge doom band EVER. That is a scientific fact. Conan have just secured a deal with Burning World Records to record their second album, and bearing in mind the world wide interest in the megalithic riff-machine called Conan, I think ‘HBH’ and the Slomatics split are fast on their way to becoming collector’s items.
NOTE – all vinyl is mailed out in new super-strengthened boxes.
